The personal licence qualification is a complete online experience by way of our BIIAB Accredited APLH e-learning course and remote invigilation of the examination.

You can study anywhere and in your own time AND you get your result immediately on completion of the exam.

COURSE CONTENT

The Award for Personal Licence Holders (APLH) gives a clear understanding of the Licensing Act 2003, the law around making sales of alcohol in England & Wales & the responsibilities of being a Personal Licence Holder. The syllabus includes:

• Personal & Premises licences
• The Licensing Objectives
• The Designated Premises Supervisor
• Responsible retailing of alcohol
• Operating Schedules
• Temporary Events
• Police powers of entry and closure of licensed premises
• The effects of alcohol
• Protection of children

ASSESSMENT

Once you have completed the e-learning course, you will then complete your exam via Microsoft Teams. The assessment will be taken under exam conditions, and you will need 2 devices, once of which must have a camera (a mobile phone is ideal). If you are not confident with technology, don’t worry as we will walk you through every step.

• Computer, tablet or smartphone to take the exam on
• A second computer, tablet or smartphone with a camera
